The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa status check to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day.
